Lancaster, SC

Yoshiko Wood, 87, died Friday, April 8th, 2022.

A native of Tokyo, Japan, Yoko married James W. Wood, Jr. in May 1960 & moved with him to the USA. Yoko retired from Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD in 2004 & moved with James to Lancaster SC.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, James W. Wood, Jr. of Lancaster, SC; daughter Mary (Masashi) Umemoto of Fort Mill, SC; son Doug (Robbie) Wood of Lancaster, SC and six granddaughters—Emi Umemoto, Lisa, Umemoto, Molly Umemoto, Sydney Gordon, Alexis Wood and Alyssa Wood. She was preceded in death by her son James W. Wood, III.

The funeral will be held at 1pm April 30, 2022 at Wood Memorial Park in Duncan, SC.
