Fort Mill, South Carolina
August 24, 1968 - April 29, 2026
Shannon DeRaine Raynor, age 57, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Shannon was born on August 24, 1968, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the son of Paul and Colleen Raynor.
He was an electrician by trade and was known for his skill, generosity, and willingness to help others. Shannon was always ready to lend a hand to family and friends, especially with home projects, and took great pride in his work.
In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and maintaining his wooded property, often riding his four-wheeler and later relaxing in his hammock or by the fire pit. He also loved fishing, whether at the beach or spending hours by a quiet pond.
Above all, Shannon’s greatest love was his family. He was deeply devoted to his wife and children and was a constant source of support and encouragement in their lives. He could always be found at Kailey’s volleyball games and Kyle’s baseball games, proudly cheering them on and inspiring them to be their very best.
Shannon is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Vasha Zairis Raynor; his children, Kailey Doreen Raynor and Kyle DeRaine Raynor; his parents, Paul and Colleen Raynor; his sisters and their families, including Angelia (Steve) Thompson and Cynthia Muchiarone; his nieces and nephews, Jon, Josh, Madison, Moriah, Olivia, Brandi, and Jesse; and his in-laws, Sasos Zairis, Dora Zairis, and Miki Zairis.
A celebration of Shannon’s life will be held at Greater Life Baptist Church, 17025 Lancaster Hwy, Charlotte, North Carolina 28277, on Wednesday, May 6th at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Justin Hildreth.
