Lucinda "Cindy" Susan Ruh December 11, 1948 – May 29, 2026 On May 29, 2026, the world as we know it forever changed, but Heaven gained a radiant, unyielding beacon of light. Lucinda "Cindy" Susan Ruh (née Miler), passed away unexpectedly. Born on December 11, 1948, in Canton, Ohio, Cindy lived a life defined by extraordinary self-sacrifice, always placing the needs of her family, her friends, and even total strangers far above her own. She was the very embodiment of what a mother’s love should be. Cindy spent her formative years growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduating from Wilkinsburg High School in 1966. She later relocated to the Lancaster, South Carolina area—returning to the roots where her father was originally from. A quiet warrior with an unbreakable spirit, she raised her three boys entirely on her own. She did not just tell her sons how to live; she showed them. Through her daily actions, she instilled in them a hard-working attitude, selfless perseverance, and the importance of reflecting the good that God places in each of us.

Her heart was a sanctuary. Whenever anyone needed her, Cindy stepped up without reserve. A devoted and loving caregiver, she relocated without hesitation across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and South Carolina just to provide comfort and care to her family. She lived by a creed of acceptance rather than judgment, welcoming everyone into her fold with genuine, steadfast love that was never forced. She leaves behind Her nightly phone cals with her best friend, Suzy Murphy, her daughter Amy, whom Cindy regarded as a close friend, both of Swissvale, PA, were a beautiful testament to her enduring loyalty over the years, as was her deep bond with her dear friend Kaye McKenzie of Zelienople, PA. Cindy also carried her Sister-In-Law Mary Livingston as wel as her niece Dawn and nephew Conley Jr. Cindy would always smile when te ling the story of earning the loving designation “Aunt Pickle”. Cindy's uplifting and loving congregation family of First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, SC, very close to her heart, missing them dearly in her final days but holding onto the faith they shared. Through life’s most difficult chapters, it was her unwavering devotion to God and her family that carried those she loved through the storm. Today, we take immense comfort in knowing that her beautiful soul is finally reunited in Heaven with her parents, Edna and Conley Sr.; her beloved brothers, older brother Conley Jr. and younger brother Edward; and her husband, Douglas Ruh.

Cindy’s profound legacy of love continues through the family she dedicated her life to. She is survived by her three devoted sons and their families: her oldest son Robert and his wife Maria Cercena, their children Jorge, Brianna, and Ashley, and Cindy's precious great-grandchildren, Ada, Alondra, and Amaya; her son Derek Cercena and her grandson Brandon; her youngest son Justin and his wife LaTonya, and her granddaughters Tamia and Aubree. She leaves behind many beloved cousins in the Lancaster area who wil cherish her memory. Though Mom is no longer walking beside us, her spirit remains. She will forever shine down on the lives of everyone she touched—a beacon of never-wavering faith, hope, and love. Her spirit will continue to guide our souls on the right path until the day we are joyfully reunited with our Mom, once and forever.
