Lance Stanley Braaten

October 5, 1961 – June 16, 2025 (age 63)

Charlotte, North Carolina

We have the assurance that Lance went to his heavenly home on June 16th, because of his strong faith in his Savior, the Lord Jesus. In spite of his declining health for the past three years, he was always positive and happy.

Lance was born on 10/5/1961 in Hempstead, NY to Stanley & Greta Braaten. He grew up on Long Island, NY, one of six siblings in a happy and inspiring family. Bethany Bible Church was the center of his family life.

Lance married Rachel and they were blessed with two boys, Brendan and Daniel. They relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1988. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle to so many in our family.

He is survived by his children, Brendan and Daniel, his grandchildren, Boone and Blake, his siblings, Bruce, Ron, Randy, Lauri, Diane and his ex-wife Rachel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley & Greta and his wife Janet.
