Karen Nance Hickerson, 65 passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023

The angels and the saints rejoiced as Karen entered her eternal home and was received into the arms of her Savior.

Born in Charlotte, NC and raised in Miami, Fl, she spent her later years in Lubbock, TX with her beloved husband, Dan.

Karen was a talented artist, selling her unique paintings nationally and internationally, and was a gifted sculptor and jewelry maker as well.

A lover of all thing's nature, she and Dan volunteered for many years rescuing and fostering a variety of wildlife, particularly squirrels.

Karen was proceeded in death by Dan in 2021, her parents Foy Nance and Ruth Hardy. She is survived by the second love of her life, son Kaleb, sisters Dessa Anderson and Amy Harris (Bill), nephews Justus and Mark, niece Angel, and great - niece Sydney.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Colon Cancer Foundation or any animal rescue of donor's choice.
