Karen Elizabeth (Martin) Foster

Karen Elizabeth (Martin) Foster, 66, of Albemarle, NC, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, with her family by her side, leaving behind a large family.

Born in Charlotte, NC, on September 13, 1959, Karen was a second mother and a nurturer to everyone. She helped anyone she could even when she didn't have anything. 

Karen leaves behind a wide circle of cherished friends, as well as her surviving family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Calvin Martin, Sr., and mother, Lucille (Arthur) Wright; her brother, Roy Calvin Martin, Jr., her sister, Tammy Shaffer, her daughter, Kristen Foster, and her son  Ronald Foster, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Foster, Sr; sisters, Terry Martin, Alisha Wright, and Trudy Austin; brothers,  Barry (Martha) Martin, James (Gisselle) Martin, Billy (Jackie) Martin, and Arthur "Bo" Wright , Jr.; sons, Shane Foster and Chance Foster; her daughter, Tara Guillen; her daughter-in-law, Karen Duckworth; her grandchildren, Lyzette Rasmussen, Timothy Mullis, Cameron Foster, Layla Cortez, Bayla Foster, and Brody Foster; her great-granddaughter, River Foster; and countless cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will be gathering to hold a special memorial to remember Karen at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness for a neighbor or bring together people you love in memory of Karen's generous spirit.

The Foster Family has entrusted arrangements to Cremation Society of Charlotte.
