John DuVall, Sr.

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA

March 18, 1950 - May 7, 2020

John L. DuVall, 1st born March 18, 1950. in Newbrunswick, New Jersey fell asleep in death May 7, 2020 in Novant Presbyterian Hospital Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 70 years.
 
John, also known as “Snooks” from his youth on was beloved by his family and friends.  It did not take long being in his presence to know that he was such a fun character, very strong and of a brilliant mind. Family meant everything to him and he worked hard to provide for his family as an HVAC/Electrical Maintenance Technician. Providing for his family also was heavily weighted on ensuring that each member knew the name of the living and true God -Jehovah and of the promised future paradise under God’s Kingdom. He strived throughout his life to attain to an approved and intimate relationship with Jehovah finally dedicating his life as a faithful witness during the “Remain Close to Jehovah!” District Convention of  Jehovah’s Witnesses at the age of  61 on July 3, 2010. He continued through the remainder of his life proving to be a doer of God’s word and not a hearer only (James 1:23-25) actively preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom as an Ordained Minister and temporay volunteer in Bethel Service.
 
John was born to parents both now deceased, John (Brown) DuVall and Nancy Jeane (Johnson) DuVall. His siblings are Barabara Saunders, Richard C. DuVall (deceased), Carolyn J. DuVall (Babe), and Ericka DuVall Demeter. John was survived by his wife Leniefe Palima and their two sons Jhylz (2yrs 8m) and Rhylz (1yr 3m).  John also was survived by his five older children Joy. T. , John L.2nd, Ericka J. DuVall Kelly, Kimberly Duvall Petty (Husband Albert Petty Jr.), and step-daughter Anicia N. Walker and their mother Deborah (Walker) DuVall. Very close to John notable to be mentioned are his 1 st cousin Deborah Harris, Husband Rodney Harris and their family.  Also, newphew Richard Dana DuVall of his late younger brother Richard C. DuVall. 

Additionally John was survived by nineteen Grandchildren and ten great grand children of :

John 2nd. (Alyah children Laylah & Kano; Kyla child Dominic; John  3rd; Olivia and Josiah) Ericka Kelly (Mika Davina )
Kimberly Petty (Mekhi-Sincere, David-Gaij, Dilaynie-Beaux, Meurie-Selah, and stepson Saxon)
Anicia Walker (Geanae children Trey, Jayden, Tristan, & Aria; Donald, Donicia, Kaira child Ava, John child Josiah; Farrah, & Faelynn)
As well as many other dear family and friends.
