James Lloyd Martin, 74, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020.

James Lloyd Martin, 74 of Wooster went home to be with his Savior on June 26, 2020. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones. Jim was born in Wooster, Ohio on February 1, 1946 and lived there until moving to North Carolina in 2016. He was born to the late Earl and Lea Pearl (Wery) Martin. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack A. Martin(Clara). He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Colleen Martin, his
sister, Jeanette Koestner(John) of Carlsbad,CA., daughter, Sherry(David)and grandsons, Jace and Dylan Seymour of Apple Creek,Ohio, step-daughters Dorothy Martincic (Johnny) and Charlotte Caponi (Marco) and their children and grandchildren, nephews Duane Martin of Wooster and John Koestner of Casselberry FL, aunt, Mary Alice Resch of Uniontown, Ohio and cousins Lynn Richards of Canton, Ohio, Carol Yakupcak (Terry) of South Vienna, Ohio and many other family members who loved him and will miss him.

Jim proudly served as a Sergeant in the US Air Force. His service as a medic during the Vietnam war would greatly impact his life. He enjoyed spending time with family, reading, video games, listening to music, bicycling, trips to the beach and cheering on his beloved Cleveland Browns and Indians.

A memorial service is planned for 7:00 pm Sunday, July 5, 2020 at University City United Methodist Church 3835 West WT Harris Boulevard Charlotte, North Carolina 28269.

A Military Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road Seville, Ohio 44273.
