Denise Gay (Frasier) Sweeten, age 58, of Gastonia passed away unexpectedly at Caromont Regional Medical Center Tuesday October 24, 2023. 
Denise was born April 9, 1965 in Brockport, New York.
Denise is survived by her mother Janice Ashworth of Berwind, West Virginia, Father Wilbert Frasier of Kent, NY. Also survived by her sister Kristie Day (Greg) of Berwind, West Virginia, brother
Keith Frasier (Andrea)of Medina, NY. Husband Jerry Sweeten of Belmont, NC. Children, Jennifer Mitchell of Gastonia, NC son Tommy Frasier (Tabitha) of Boissevain, Va. daughter Melissa Wright of Gastonia, NC. Step children Joseph Sweeten (Taylor), 
Michelle Sweeten, & Nicole Sweeten of Belmont, NC. Special bonus son Roy Ashworth of Berwind, WVa. Grandchildren Emily Mitchell, Jamie Abernathy,
Jordan Null, Peyton Null, Alyssa Frasier, Johnny Brown, Anthony Wright & Waylon Wright. Many nieces & nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her niece Lisa Day, nephew Gregory Day, stepfather Roy Ashworth, sister Tina Ashworth, & nephew David Ashworth. 
Denise was an avid owl collector & she loved fishing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family & will probably haunt us in death.
Services are incomplete at this time.
