Delores Cruse (Little) Greene

Delores Cruse Green (Little), 84, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away July 4, 2026, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

She was born December 5, 1941, in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late Selma Brost Long and her stepfather, Alvin Long.

She was a graduate of the former Warwood High School. Delores lived most of her adult life in Pineville, NC, before later moving to Fort Mill, SC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Merritt Greene, and her sisters, Sandra K. Long and Elizabeth G. Hercules.

She is survived by her three children, James A. (Tish) Cruse of Mount Holly, NC; Marsha C. Furr of Stanley, NC; and Kristy C. (Jimmy) Burbee of Mount Holly, NC; two grandchildren, Anarah N. Furr and James M. (Caitlin) Furr; one great-grandchild, Logan G. Furr; her sister, Donna Ross of Warwood, WV; her brother, Alvin (Faye) Long of Wellsburg, WV; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

No formal services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local food bank in your area, in her memory. 

The Greene Family has entrusted arrangements to Cremation Society of Charlotte.
