HUNTERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA
March 6, 1951 - January 3, 2021
Clarence Gordon Hale, 69, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021.
Clarence Gordon Hale was born on March 6, 1951, in Wetumpka, Alabama to parents Harry L. Kendrick and Julia Huffman Kendrick [Maternal Father William Douglas Hale, Sr.]. Early upbringing was in East Chicago, Indiana and Bloomington, Illinois. Clarence attended Illinois Central College where he studied Comprehensive Art. He later went on to receive a certification in Private Investigation from John J. College in New York City. In his professional career, Clarence was an entrepreneur. He was the Vice-President and Co-Owner of CHLK Enterprises Incorporated.
Clarence was blessed with a sense of sensitivity, dignity, and pride at an early age. He was a scholarly man with excellent logic and acute observation. His life was an inspiration to others. He had a hearty laugh and loved to tease his brothers, sister, nieces, and nephews. Clarence faithfully fulfilled his duties at Zion Temple Ministries Lighthouse C.O.G.I.C. where he took pride in serving as the facilities manager. He served food and clothing to the homeless and to all those that he found in need of a helping hand. Henceforth, there is laid up for him a crown of life.
Clarence was an amazing contemporary artist and an aficionado of art especially paintings. He also loved music and was an avid listener of various genres. He loved his family immensely and treated his nieces and nephews like his own children, which is why we affectionately called him uncle daddy.
He was preceded in death by his sister Lynette Hale and brother Sebron L. Kendrick. He leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, William Douglas Hale, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Rev. Larry Kendrick [Jesse Clay Kendrick] of San Antonio, TX, and his beloved sister Darlene Kendrick Thorpe [Rev. Dr. Robert Thorpe, Jr.] of Omaha, NE and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
We regret the passing of our beloved brother and uncle, however, we find peace in knowing that to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
The Hale Family has entrusted arrangements to Cremation Society of Charlotte.
