Carole (Bienkowski) Locklin, 85 years of age, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at her home in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Carole was born on December 12, 1937, in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated from North Quincy High School. She worked as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines before marrying Edward Locklin on July 29, 1960, in Scituate, Massachusetts. They later moved to Waterville, Maine, where they raised their family. During that time, Carole taught at the East Vassalboro Elementary School. They later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked as a legal secretary. They retired to South Carolina in 2008. During the summer months, she and Ed loved to return to Maine, to vacation in the beautiful state they had called home for so many years. They would be joined by their sons and extended family for joyous family reunions during those gorgeous summer months. In addition to travel, Carole’s hobbies included reading, playing tennis, and walking. She also loved cheering on her beloved New York Yankees.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Margaret Bienkowski, siblings Robert Bienkowski and Stephanie (Bienkowski) Freeman and daughter-in-law Noreen (Sterling) Locklin. Carole is survived by her husband Edward and sons Erik (Lisa) Locklin and Greg Locklin.
