Annie Christine Neighbors Cole

Our mother,  Annie Christne Neighbors was born October 29, 1926 in Harnett County, NC.  She lived a long & blessed life that ended August 3, 2025 at her home of 47 years surrounded by family & friends. 

She was the daughter of Emett Neighbors & Vara Hodges Neighbors.

She married dad, Grady Cole, Jr. April 19, 1949 in Charlotte, NC.  They lovingly raised four children: Donna, Grady III, Drew & Christi. 

Mom was successful in her real estate career & later as a business owner in Matthews, NC for over 30 years.  But her greatest success in life was the lasting effect of her unfailing love
for her family the one she left in Harnett County & the one her marriage would birth years later. 

 She never failed to respond to the many needs, wants, heartaches & trials of family life as a loving wife & mother.  She would read her Bible each night before going to bed & breathed to us its truth by simply living out a Christlike life each day, of love & devotion to her family & friends.

She is survived by three of her four children; Donna, Grady & Christi.  She is also survived by five granddaughters & one great granddaughter.

A private memorial service will be held for her later this year in the memorial garden of her home with family & friends.  This service will also celebrate the life of her husband, 
Grady Cole, Jr. who died in 2000, & her son, Drew, who died in 2019.
