PINEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA
February 6, 1959 - July 4, 2019
Shane Lammie, 60, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019.
Shane Patric Lammie, 60, of Fort Mill South Carolina, left this world to travel on to the Happy Hunting Grounds on July 4th, 2019. Shane was born on February 6, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio, to Frederick and Beverly Lammie.
An avid outdoorsman and loving grandfather, Shane loved nothing more than to hunt, fish and spend time with his beloved grandchildren, Riley and Owen.
Shane was a man with a big heart, bright smile, unconditional love for his family (blood or not) and friends, a passion and determination for living life to the fullest, an air of humility, a level of selflessness many strive for but rarely obtain. Shane never met a stranger and made lifelong friends everywhere he went and carried old friends in his heart and shared memories of them to the new ones. All of this and more, will be sorely missed, always remembered, and forever treasured by everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves us all with aspirations to “go big or go home” and with the reminder that we’re only given one life - so ignore what anyone else says, LIVE IT however YOU want, so long as you never compromise your morals and beliefs. Do it all, and just like he did, when the time comes and you’re rounding home, have peace in your heart and a shit-eating-grin on your face as you slide across life’s finish line.
Shane was preceded in death by his beloved Nana, Doris Hollett, parents, Fred and Bev, his older brother Sean Lammie and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Left behind to mourn his loss are his son, Patric Lammie of Grand Rapids, OH, daughter, Brittany Lammie of Gilbert, AZ, grandchildren, Riley and Owen Lammie of Perrysburg, OH, “adopted” children, Brandon and Brittani Hochradel of Toledo, OH and Christi Culp of Fort Mill SC, his girlfriend, Joan Gregory, of Fort Mill, SC, sister-in-law, Brenda Lammie of Oregon OH, nieces, Michealene (Brian) Malin of Oregon, OH, Nickie Lammie of Oregon, OH and Kyle (Shane) Fellers of Toledo, OH, ex-wife and mother of his children, Loretta Rominski of Grand Rapids, OH, ex-wife Denise Baker and many cousins, friends and adopted family.
There will be one celebration of Shane’s life at Carmella’s of Fort Mill on Thursday, July 11 at 7 p.m. and another in NW Ohio at a date and time TBD.
The Lammie Family have entrusted arrangements to Cremation Society of Charlotte, Inc.
