Sandra Elizabeth Days of Charlotte, NC made her journey to heaven on Friday, September 14th 2018 at A New Outlook of Taylorsville in Taylorsville, NC. 

Born in Morehead City, NC on September 5th, 1958 to Martha and Arthur Days, Sandra was one of 8 children born to the couple.  She was the youngest daughter born into the family of 10. 

Sandra relocated to Charlotte, NC from Morehead City, NC in 1988, where she raised her daughter as a single parent.  In her free time, Sandra could be found sitting outside under her favorite tree with cigarette in hand, people watching and getting a kick out of the things she saw during her time living in downtown Charlotte.  When she wasn’t outside, she could be found at home, listening to her 8-tracks/records on her record player (yes, in 2018 that thing STILL works!), playing games on her tablet, and enjoying the company of her goldfish.  At family functions, she would occasionally indulge in a game of spades-which was certain to end as entertaining as it would begin.

If you can handle a little bit of playful taunting and witty comebacks-you would often enjoy the company of Sandra.  Her lively, vivacious personality served her well in the roles she held in the food service industry, and it was often her spunky attitude that drew people in.  Sandra had a trademark sense of humor, smile and laugh that fueled her tenacious personality up until the moment she took her last breath. 

Sandra is survived by her one and only child, daughter Letisha Matos; her daughter-in-law Teresa Matos; the expectation of her first grandchild-scheduled to arrive April 2019; her 7 siblings Thomas Days (deceased), Fredia Warren, John Days, Rebecca MacDonald, Jeffrey Days, James Days, and Nathaniel Days; her brother-in-law Hubert Warren; her sister-in-law(s) Priscilla Days, Vanessa Days, and Rebecca Massey; her 9 nieces and nephews: John MacDonald, Jr., Brandon MacDonald, Ashlynn Days, Joshua Days, Nina Days, Pam Simmons (deceased), Nissa Garrett, Martirez Garrett and Janessa Days; extended family Tanjalena MacDonald, Audrey Garner, Antoine Montgomery (Pee Wee), and countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Boston's Mortuary 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269. 

The Days Family have entrusted her care to Cremation Society of Charlotte.
