On January 30, 2018, at the age of 61, Paul Raymond Grayson, crossed over to the Blue Road and is at peace.
Paul was born on December 17, 1956 to the union of Vander Calvin Trull and Joann McAlister in Charlotte, North Carolina. An accomplished scholar with degrees from Wingate University (M.B.A.) and Gardner Web University (B.S.). Paul enlisted in the United States Army in August 1974, and he was honorably discharged in June 1981.
In his leisure, Paul enjoyed spending time with his faithful companion and service dog, Sunka. He was an avid motorcyclist during most of his life. Paul dedicated himself to studying the history of the Lakota Sioux Native Americans with which he shared his heritage. He devoted his time to help the Catawba Nation in any way he could. He loved being involved with educating children through Native American story telling and language studies. Paul proudly obtained Honorary Status with the Catawba Nation.
Paul is survived by wife, Christine Grayson (Hickory, NC); his children, Matthew Grayson and wife Colleen, Amy Arnold and husband Mike, Susan Paul, and Lyndsay Brown; Paul was a proud Grandfather of 7: David, Hayden, Tessa, Madelyn, Ethan, Aleyah, and Molly; Paul's surviving siblings: sister, Dawn and brother, Brent; and a very dear friend, Michael McLeod and many others.
A Celebration Service will be held at 4:00PM, Sunday February 4th, 2018, at Cremation Society of Charlotte, Boston's Mortuary 4300 Statesville Rd Charlotte, North Carolina 28269.
