CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA.

Mary Ann Stewart, 83, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord. She is survived by her three daughters: Sharon Kimel (Gene) of Boone, Mary Hasz (Richard) of Moravian Falls, and Bethany Patterson (Randy) of Charlotte, as well as 12 grandchildren: Hannah (Erik), Stephen (Greta), Faith-Marie (Kyle), Angela, Abbi, Jacob (Hannah), Rachel (Austin), Elizabeth (Tim), Matthew, Moriah, Alleta, Siri and 3 great-grandchildren: Riley, Andrew, and Emmitt. She is preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, McKenza.
Mary Ann was a gifted elementary school teacher in Long Island, New York; Chicago, Illinois; Kaneohe, Hawaii; and Asheboro, North Carolina. She earned her Master’s of Education at Valparaiso University and graduated from World Harvest Bible College. Her passion was telling everyone she met about Jesus and asking if she could pray for them. Her love of travel and missions took her to Nepal, Russia, Japan, Europe, and Israel. She carried her faith and love of Jesus throughout her life. She will be remembered for her love of family, her commitment to ministry, and her enjoyment of fellowship with friends.
A memorial service will be held at The Gathering Church in Moravian Falls, North Carolina on Sunday, November 10 @ 3:00pm.
