Jose D. Nieves

José D. Nieves, 85, of Charlotte NC, passed away peacefully on Friday 16, 2018. José was better known as “Joe”. He was a loving husband, father and friend. To many he was known as a great guitar singer/player who could make any party come alive, playing from old Spaniard classic songs and Tango to romantic ballads. Joe learned to do business in the hustle and bustle of New York City. After building several shoe stores known as “Mr Brown Shoe Stores” he later started a Hardware Store which he continued to successfully build until his retirement. But being good in music and business was not what Joe was best known for. Joe was a God fearing man. He dedicated his life to helping others, teaching and preaching. He instilled scriptural values to his family, who all still hold dear in their hearts. Joe had the hope of being resurrected in paradise as Jesus and his disciples thought (John 5:28, 29; 1 Corinthians 15:20-22). He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Rosa; his three sons and respective wives, Richard (Ana), Ronald (Rachel) and Dennis (Ada); his sister Valentina; his brother Ricardo; as well as grandchildren Joel, Syned and Steven. Memorial service was held on March 24, 2018. Over 200 attended.
