Franjo Pauler

Franjo Pauler, 60, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

Franjo Pauler was born on September 6, 1957, to Jela and Franc Pauler in Ilijas, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He received his formal education at the trade school in Sarajevo, where he completed a Car Painter degree. Later in life he completed a four-year Technical Mechanics degree as well. He was a model student. 

Franjo was married to Danica Pajkic on August 24, 1976, in Ilijas, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Together they raised three children: Goran (46, from Danica's previous marriage), Mladen (40), and Vesna (29). 

He was employed by Auto Servis Ilijas as a car painter for 20 years. When the family moved to Charlotte in 2001 he was employed by UNC Charlotte as a custodian, floor maintenance, and team leader for 17 years. 

In his spare time Franjo loved spending time with his family and pets (Suzie, Murphy, Lulu, JoJo, Benji, Riley, and Lucy – they loved him as much as he loved them). He enjoyed sudoku, chess, fishing and nature. 

Franjo Pauler departed this life on August 8, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father Franc, his mother Jela, and his half-brother Nikica. 

He leaves behind his wife Danica, his children Mladen, Vesna and Goran, his grandson Marko, his brother Mladen, his daugher-in-law Tanja, and his son-in-law William. 

A funeral service for Mr. Pauler will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2018, in the chapel of Boston's Mortuary 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269.
