Avery R. Rhyne, Jr., 89,  passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019.

Bob Rhyne passed into eternity on Friday, June 28, 2019. He was born in Charlotte, NC on March 7, 1930 to Nellie King Rhyne and Avery Robert Rhyne, Sr. He spent his childhood in Charlotte before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He and Eleanor Myers Rhyne were married in Charlotte on January 26, 1952. 

They reared three children and attended St. Luke's Lutheran Church. At the time of his passing, he was living in Mooresville, NC and attending St. Mark's Lutheran Church. The children are Peggy Fulbright (Fred) of Mooresville, Robert Rhyne (Marsha) of Mooresville and Susan Cole (Jeff) of Mooresville. He was much loved by his 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. His parents, wife and sisters (Nellie Margaret Rhyne Moore and Mary Louise Hoffman Till (Polly)) preceded him in death.

Bob never met a stranger and lived a life full of optimism and hope.  He loved the Lord and lived his life for Him which was evident in his evangelism efforts to share the Lord's love to all.

A loving service will be held at St. Mark's in Mooresville on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. The family will receive friends after the service. A memorial service will be held in Charlotte at a date to be determined.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his favorite charities; Shriner's Hospitals (donate.lovetotherescue.org) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) .

The Family have entrusted arrangements to Cremation Society of Charlotte, Inc.
